About Family Facts

Many families are doing fine. Family Facts wants to keep it like that, because stable and secure families are best for children, their parents, and society. Family Facts hopes to contribute to a well-informed public and political debate about family issues.

Family Facts is a foundation that aims at the strengthening of the family both in the Netherlands and in developing countries. Family Facts is not affiliated to any specific world view or religion. The foundation takes the natural family as its starting point.

Family Facts undertakes to strengthen the position of the family in the Netherlands and in developing countries in two ways:
a) collecting and making available relevant scientific publications and bringing them to the attention of political and civil organizations and society at large.
b) influencing the public and political debate.

Family Facts has a website with a database in which scientific research is systematically stored, classified and summarised. This research is presented in a bimonthly digital newsletter, to which people can subscribe. Every two months Family Facts presents synthesis reports. Via the website people from politics, science and broader society comment on the report.

Finally Family Facts organises networking events, at which politicians, scientists or civil society leaders deliver speeches. These events offer the possibily for exchange and participation for people who are interested or involved.
